Kiwengwa is situated about one hour from the airport in the north-eastern part of the island. You will be staying in the local fishing village Cairo (part of Kiwengwa) and after a 10-minute stroll past the shops and local houses you will be at the beautiful sandy beach.
The local shops provide you with your daily needs, fresh fruit and vegetables on every corner. Buy your fish or octopus directly at the beach from the fishermen or even go fishing with them and catch your own meal. If you don’t feel like cooking you can also find local restaurants close by as well as restaurants serving international food.
You can spend time with the very friendly local community or just enjoy a peaceful time in your own privacy. It is definitely a place to unwind and breathe.
