Trip to Stonetown
Zanzibar is rich in history and culture and you should not miss out on a trip to Stonetown. Walk around the small alleys with its quirky boutiques and handcraft shops and find little souvenirs to take home.
A local guide can tell you everything about the island’s history and show you the main sights. Watch the buzz at the port when the ferries from mainland Tanzania come in and enjoy the local food at the Forodhani food market in the evening.
Spice Tours
As you probably already know, Zanzibar is the island of spices. There are many spice farms you can visit and learn about the different spices and fruits and its uses not only for cooking but also for natural medicine. Or why not try climbing a coconut tree and drink the refreshing coconut juice?
Boat Tours
Besides exploring the island on the road, there is also the sea life to discover. A boat can take you to Mnemba island for great snorkelling and with a bit of luck you might even see dolphins on the way. Chill on the sandbank close by with drinks and fresh fruits.
Safari Blue
A great day trip is Safari Blue. You will take the boat to a small island where you can see one of the biggest Baobab trees in Zanzibar. Swim in the beautiful lagoons and play some ball on the beach or just enjoy doing absolutely nothing.
Sunset Cruise
You can’t be on this stunning island without seeing the sunset. Go to Nungwi on a sunset cruise and you will see the sky changing its colours until the sun sets on the horizon.
Nakupenda
Another big sandbank is called Nakupenda. Grab some food, drinks, music and your friends and have a chillaxing barbeque there after swimming or sunbathing.

Please note that we have high and low tide. Both have their attractions. High tide is great for swimming and water sports of course and at low tide you can walk out into the sea, pass the sandbanks and see the first starfish and small fish. Take a local boat out to the reef where you can snorkel with a vast variety of fish and see even more starfish in all different colours.
